In 2025, ENTSO-E delivered a comprehensive set of legally mandated activities that reinforces its role in supporting the secure and efficient operation of Europe’s power system. In total, 96.3% of projected deliveries under the AWP 2025 were successfully completed.
Key achievements of 2025 include the publication of the Bidding Zone Review report, the publication of ERAA 2025, and the implementation of the Network Code on Cybersecurity as well as the delivery of TYNDP-related outputs. Other milestones include submissions related to the Capacity Allocation & Congestion Management (CACM) Regulation.
ENTSO-E also engaged in closer cooperation with DSOs to support a more integrated electricity system. Together, all these mandated activities demonstrate ENTSO-E’s continued commitment to market integration, operational excellence, and system security, while remaining aligned with the EU’s decarbonisation goals.
Today, ENTSO-E publishes its Annual Work Programme (AWP), outlining its priorities for 2026 and reflecting the legal mandates assigned to ENTSO-E under the European electricity market framework.
Building on 2025 accomplishments, the ENTSO-E Annual Work Programme 2026 reinforces the Association’s core mission of enabling a robust and interconnected grid. It includes legally mandated tasks under EU law, pan-European and regional TSO activities, the Association’s strategic priorities, and preparatory work for future legislation, such as the upcoming European Grids Package.
Key areas of focus include the submission of ENTSO-E’s Ten-year network development plan (TYNDP) 2026, continued work on the European Resource Adequacy Assessment (ERAA) and the Seasonal Outlooks, further implementation of the European Awareness System (EAS) and the Network Code on Cybersecurity, as well as advancing market design reform for onshore and offshore systems. Deepening regional integration in South-Eastern and Eastern Europe and promoting innovation across all workstreams remain central on the AWP 2026 edition.
