The solar eclipse of October 25th 2022 is a partial solar eclipse that will be visible over Europe, South/West Asia, North/West Africa and Atlantic. It will cast a shadow on several countries in Europe between 11:00 and 13:30 CEST. European TSOs had to carry out careful preparations for tomorrow’s solar eclipse to ensure continued security of supply. Task forces were set up to analyse the impact of the solar eclipse, discuss and prepare individual measures, such as increasing staff in the control rooms and raising awareness of market parties. The TSOs used the lessons learned from the solar eclipses in 2015 and 2021.
