ENTSO-EThe ENTSO-E Assembly has appointed Sonya Twohig to become the new ENTSO-E Secretary-General. Sonya Twohig will succeed Laurent Schmitt whose four-year mandate ends on 31 December 2020.
Sonya Twohig is currently Head of Operations section, at ENTSO-E Secretariat, in which she has supported the European TSOs in the implementation of EU Network Codes and Regulations and furthering Regional Coordination initiatives among TSOs since February 2016. Prior to joining ENTSO-E, Sonya Twohig held several senior management positions in Markets, System Operations and Grid Development for the EirGrid Group.
ENTSO-E would like to thank Laurent Schmitt for his commitment and the work achieved during these four years. A smooth transition will be ensured between him and his successor over the next months.
